What We Achieved

The Hackley School showcases a rich tapestry of architectural elements, incorporating a blend of styles and materials that contribute to its unique character and charm. Among the standout features of the school are the beautifully designed copper skylights, which provide ample natural light and add a touch of elegance to the interior spaces. B&B Sheet Metal played a pivotal role in this project, utilizing their extensive expertise to fabricate not only the skylights but also intricately crafted copper dormers that enhance the building’s architectural profile.

In addition to the skylights and dormers, B&B produced copper standing seam roof panels, known for their durability and aesthetic appeal, which seamlessly integrate with the overall design of the structure. These panels are particularly valued for their ability to withstand the elements while adding a classic look to the roofline. Moreover, the custom copper gutters manufactured by B&B serve both functional and decorative purposes, channeling rainwater effectively while harmonizing with the building’s exterior aesthetics.

All of these elements were meticulously crafted in B&B’s 5th generation sheet metal shop located in Long Island City, where a rich history of craftsmanship and innovation continues to thrive. By combining traditional techniques with modern advancements in metal fabrication, B&B Sheet Metal ensured that every component met the highest standards of quality and durability.
