What We Achieved

B-Flex plank panels played a crucial role in the construction of St. John Hall at Choate Rosemary Hall, delivering a contemporary, durable, and visually striking finish. These panels were fabricated with great precision, utilizing zinc supplied by LM Zinc, known for its superior quality and longevity. The use of zinc not only contributed to the building’s sleek appearance but also provided resilience against weathering, ensuring the structure’s long-term durability.

The panels themselves were manufactured in impressive 26-foot lengths at B&B Sheet Metal’s 5th generation sheet metal shop in Long Island City, New York. This state-of-the-art facility has a rich history of metal fabrication expertise, passed down through generations, making it well-equipped to handle the complexities of such a large-scale project. The use of long zinc panels allowed for a smooth, streamlined look with minimal seams, enhancing the modern aesthetic of the building.

A critical aspect of the project was the detailed planning and communication between the involved parties. To ensure every facet of the installation was executed flawlessly, B&B Sheet Metal produced and submitted comprehensive shop drawings. These detailed drawings were crucial in communicating the precise measurements, configurations, and installation methods required for the B-Flex panels.
