Downspouts are vertically positioned metal pipes that are joined to leader heads or conductor heads, scuppers or the gutter itself. Copper Downspouts are used to run water from its connecting pieces to lower levels or the ground.

A Downspout is a vertical pipe responsible for conducting water from the roof drain or gutter to the surface.

These tapered, round and smooth downspouts are part of the Americraft Gutter line but can also be used with any other copper gutter system. They are are also complimented by a full line of accessories.

American downspouts are usually formed using half hard copper while Americraft uses only the finest fully hard 18oz copper. These German imported downspouts are much higher in quality than American style downspouts and are surprisingly lower in cost. The reason for this difference is because German machines are much more costly and durable than the typical roll forming machines used in the United States.

A Copper Downspout Bracket is used to secure the downspout to the wall. The downspout bracket is comprised of 2 pieces:

• a bolt screw which goes into the wall
• a hinged collar piece that attaches to the end of the bolt screw

A Downspout Bracket attaches the downspout to the wall unit. Please be advised that there are different ways to install the downspout bracket depending on the type of application.

Copper Downspout Connectors stretch easily over the downspout and drain pipe to seal out unwanted debris and pesky pests.

A Downspout Connector is the defender of the pipes — preventing undesirables from entering the system. It stretches easily over most common downspouts and drain pipes to seal out problem-causing debris and pests.

This Copper Seamless Round Elbow at 72 degrees are laser welded to eliminate any seams.

Copper Elbows are connecting items attached to down pipes, downspouts and leaders. Elbows typically change the direction of their connector pieces by a degree. Custom degrees are available upon request.

These copper plain round elbows are seamless and smooth. When attaching these to the Americraft plain round downspout the fit is closely secured. These elbows can be opened to the desired direction and because they are laser welded in a heavy gauge they are long lasting.

Copper Expansion Rolls have one side of vulcanized neoprene. They have an 11 3/16 inch width to help seal seams and prevent any leaks.

An Expansion Roll on 1-side has a vulcanized neoprene with a 11 3/16 inch width. It is priced per linear foot.

Copper 18oz Fascia Hangers make the gutter system stronger, while simultaneously providing the gutter with a nice clean look. Other systems use spike and ferrules, which are subject to becoming loose in the presence of ice and heavy snow conditions.

A Fascia Hanger provides durability and seasoned strength to allow for contraction and expansion of the gutter system in adverse weather conditions. This component is sort of like a lean-to for the gutter system, providing resistance to prevent mishaps and possible collapse.

Americraft Copper Inside Miter Corner is a traditional installation option for moldings on your system. To install the Inside Miter Corner, make sure that the face is at approximately 45 degrees so that the edge of the cut is visible from the front.

Miter Inside Corners hide slight imperfections where corners meet and gives a roof system a finished look.

Copper Outside Miter Corners are 45 degrees, to make sure that it’s antagonistic yet a good fit for the complementary inside miter. Whenever you install anything, measure twice, cut once (if necessary), and remember: patience is the most useful tool.

A Miter Outside Corner mirrors the inside corner on a 45 degrees angle. To cope the pieces, butt one piece tight against the wall and nail in place. Place the second piece in your miter box or power miter saw as described above and cut the piece at 45 degrees so the edge of the cut is visible from the front. Use a coping saw to cut a slight back angle following the contour of the exposed moulding profile. Test fit the coped cut and trim as necessary.
