Our upcoming categories are steeples, post cap finials, awnings, and range hood covers.

Steeples

Steeples

The first of our upcoming categories is the steeple. Vey common on churches and cathedrals, a steeple is a tall tower on a building that often contains a spire as its top base. A steeple may be a separate structure or it can be incorporated into the entrance or center of a building.

A steeple is also used for ventilation that louvers and ornamental decorations placed together inside the steeple provide for. The steeple serves an important aesthetic purpose, adding to the holistic and integral appearance of a church reflecting a solid structure and making it look more elegant.

Post Cap Finials

Post Cap Finials

A finial is a decorative object used at the top of spires, peaks, gables, roofs, and other architectural elements as a slip over cap. Adding a decorative element to these components, the finial serves an important purpose. But what is a post cap finial? A post cap finial is a special type of finial that goes on top of a post, while a regular finial goes on top of a roof. The post cap finial is a slip over cap and can be found mostly on residential buildings, and sometimes on industrial and commercial buildings as well as in parks.

It should be noted that the post cap finial serves an aesthetic purpose, and an aesthetic purpose only. That is not to say, it is not an important element in the bigger picture, it certainly is. The post cap finial adds to the overall image of a building and it goes without saying that image is important. Adding an element of style or contributing to an existing style, the post cap finial enhances image and creates a nicer overall appearance.

We have post cap finials available in several sizes including 4″ x 4″, 6″ x 6″, 8″ x 8″, 10″ x 10″, 12″ x 12″, and 18″ x 18″ as well as several materias including copper, evergreen copper, stainless steel, galvanized steel, as well as an custom metal material.

Awnings

Awnings

An awning is the secondary covering to a building. It is attached to the exterior of a building to protect from sun shade, wind, rain, and snow. Awnings are sometimes painted with particular information such as name, business (as in the case of businesses), and address. Different businesses use awnings in different ways. For example, a restaurant might use awnings to cover outdoor dining, parties, or reception area. The way an awning is used can also be a function of location — in areas were wintry weather is prominent, awnings are usually not taken down at the end of the summer. Rather, they remain retracted against buildings throughout the winter.

When combined with columns, an awning becomes a canopy and is then able to extend further from a building such as in the case of the entrance to a hotel. The older styles for awnings consisted of canvas woven acrylic, cotton or polyester yarn, vinyl laminated to polyester fabric stretched tightly over aluminum, iron, steel, and in some cases wood, the new style of today is metal such as copper, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and many more.

Range Hood Covers

Steeples

Need to remodel your kitchen? Don’t want to replace your ventilation system in the process? Get a range hood cover! A range hood cover is used to cover an existing range hood in a kitchen. It can be used to enhance the aesthetic appeal in a kitchen with its design and function. You can even buy a range hood cover together with a fan and ventilation system if you do not already have a ventilation system.

Get a range hood cover and save money instead of getting a whole new system. Using tight bond non-flammable material, the range hood cover is hassle free and easy to install.
